Adolescents & Young Adults
For many young people battling cancer, the transition between childhood and adulthood can be a lonely and confusing time. Often caught between the children’s ward and the adult oncology space, they can feel isolated and out of place. Our AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) centre was created to change that.
Understanding the unique challenges faced by youths—mental health struggles, interrupted education, disrupted career paths, financial hardships, and emotional strain—we offer a supportive space where young people can “lepak”, relax, and heal. Drawing inspiration from our research and visits abroad, this centre provides a place for AYA patients to connect, share experiences, and find comfort among peers who truly understand.
In addition to medical care, we focus on psychosocial and emotional support, helping youths navigate the emotional toll of their cancer journey. Our team is dedicated to supporting mental health, offering counselling, peer support, and a safe environment where young people can process their feelings and regain a sense of stability.
Here, youths can socialize, rebuild relationships, and regain a sense of normalcy—all while receiving the care and support they need, both medically and emotionally. In the AYA centre, you’re never alone—we’re here, heart to heart, supporting you every step of the way.

Our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) department provides a supportive space for young people facing cancer. We understand that AYA patients often feel caught between pediatric and adult care, which can leave them feeling isolated. Beyond medical care, we offer a community where they can connect with others who share similar experiences. We focus on mental health, education disruptions, career concerns, and financial stress, helping them regain normalcy and find balance. No matter where they are in their journey, we are here to offer support every step of the way.
With 12 activists gathered for a common cause to do good for the community, Ain Society was established and registered with the Registrar of Societies on 10th October 2000. Ain Society has held an IPC (Institute of Public Character) status since 1st January 2008
